Altoona to host Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair April 12

Students, faculty, and guests interact at the annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair

Penn State Altoona held its 21st Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair (URCAF) on Saturday, April 15, showcasing the work of over 130 students and over 35 faculty mentors of the college. The event offers students a chance to share their research projects and other creative activities with the campus community, friends, and family members through oral presentations, poster presentations, and performances in categories including arts and humanities, health and life sciences, internships, business, nursing, engineering, information technology, and performing arts.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will host its annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair (URCAF) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, in the Adler Athletic Complex.

The fair allows students to present the culmination of their work from a traditional research/creative activities experience, an internship or a course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE). Students may present their work in different formats, including poster and oral presentations, performances and exhibitions.

In addition to the awarding of disciplinary awards, students will be presented with the Penn State University Libraries Undergraduate Research Award, the Sustainability Award, and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Award.
